Having discussed the recent posts, I have decided to remove myself from the handling of the Housewares, to the control of Trevor, this i hope will save the business he and I have grown, but I am not going to jeopardize it any further.
I thank those that have understood, and will not in the future 'open' the site. Its nice to know that one comment said in a situation away from here, warrants a reply on a public site.
Best of luck to all businesses, whatever the outcome of our meeting today, and I hope your planned Business Action Group is successful.
With kind and heartfelt regards
Sue Woods

You are correct in saying that this subject has now gone too far. I think that it is premature for you. after all that has been said to stand down. I stand by my earlier comments that you are not only a valued but an essential part of our community. Please give yourself the weekend to reconsider. Although we may not agree we do not need to be in opposition.
I look forward to meeting up with you and Trevor soon and letting bygones be bygones.
Regards
Andy Kidby

Hi Sue
I was actually thinking that if you took one of the larger (empty) stores, that you could very successfully merge the two stores together in a possibly, more 'Hi vis' situation.
Are the rents of the other bigger stores too prohibitive to allow this though?
On another note, do you or Trevor sell biodegradable bin liners?
Many thanks

Not wishing to answer someone elses question, but knowing the situation of the empty shops, maybe able to answer. There would be only one shop that is the same size or slightly bigger than the two currently used by the Hardware, the old carpet baggers shop. This I know from experience, was/is to be let as a complete package, shop and OFFICES above. The rent was between 20k and 25k. There is little demand for that type of office space in Liphook, and probably that is why it is still vacant. You should also consider that there would be current leases on the shops, and new businesses would have to be found to fill their vacant shops - not a good prospect at the present.
