Talk mobile coverage
- Amanda B (3rd Oct 2012 - 16:59:09)

Please can you tell me what the Talk mobile coverage is like in Liphook? I have looked at the company website which tells me coverage is good but just want to hear it from people who have it! Thanks

The company is owned by The Carphone Warehouse (CPW) and runs on the Vodafone network. So, responses from users on Vodafone are relevant.

You will be fine, have been through a few providers in the 12 years living here, Vodaphone or its third parties is the only one I would recommend.

No, I don't work for Vodaphone... Yes I know I have another 13 years before I am classed as a local :)

In my experience Vodaphone is the best in Liphook and the surrounding area although Passfield can sometimes be a bit "dodgy"

The Vodafone signal is rarely strong enough to make calls in Passfield. If that's where you are, you'll be better off with Orange/T=mobile or O2.

Having been an 02 customer and (generally) pleased with the local coverage since mobile phones still had external aerials (!) I switched to Vodafone about 18 months ago and it was not a wise choice. Reception problems in several areas including Passfield and often v weak signal. This exasperated customer is switching back to O2 as soon as the current contract ends.
Has anyone had any experience with Giff -Gaff? - Runs on the O2 network and is cheaper but you are not locked into a contract. Would be quite interested to know.

We are in Griggs Green and my son is currently on Talk Mobile and does not seem to have any problems with it. He has also been on Giff Gaff and again no problems. - Although he does not go through Passfield or Bramshott often enough to be able to comment on these areas.
I and my husband use Orange and will probably renew with them as again we have no issues with coverage.
Hope this helps

Lucky your not on Vodafone and living in Griggs Green.

Mast has been down for nearly 4 weeks now and Vodafone doesn't have a date when it will be back.

Seems to happen quite regular in Griggs Green but hopefully they will fix it this time.

I see lots of compensation coming on.
So for anyone who lives down here on Vodafone when the signal comes back ring 191 and say you want at least a refund of your line rental.
