Monday night - Sainsbury's planning
- Freddie Dawkins (16th Jan 2004 - 11:30:29)
All here -
The next Parish Planning Committee meeting is on Monday (19 January) evening at 8pm, at the Parish Office, Midhurst Road car park.
There will be a section devoted to hearing the latest amendment details from Sainsbury's, on their application to extend the store, additional parking and provision of a covered service yard.
I'd encourage everyone to come along and hear what's being discussed and take part

I noticed that there was very little objection to this and it is likely to proceed. I understand that Sainsbury's have undertaken not to sell any more 'non-food'. Is it not possible to get the Royal Anchor to make a similar undertaking?

Mike -
apparently there was a long discussion at last night's District planning meeting and lots of caveats, problems raised etc. Once I have the full details, I'll post here. I do know that the siting of the recycling skips is proving one of the major sticking points.

Now that Liphook and East Hants has a fortnightly (monthly when it snows) pickup of recyclables do we need these recycling centres. All that is needed is that the bottles are picked up as well and all these recycling sites are, all of a sudden, not needed and the less green residents will also comply any leave glass out of the (ironically) green bin.
