Are there any parts of an aeroplane around you?

I too missed the announcement but I am told that it is for the collection of glass bottles and jars which will be made once a month along with the recycling bin.

I don't know about anyone else but the size of the box seems to be a considerable underestimate on the actual alcohol consumption level chez Robinson!

For those of us that drink far too much .....

From EHDC web site

"If you find after using the service for a number of collections that you regularly have too many glass bottles and jars for one box please contact us on 01730 234295 and we will deliver a second box to you free of charge. "

Does this mean we are being charged for the first one? [editor - no]

What happens if you don't use the first one? [editor - you need to drink more]

Will we have the recycling police coming round to have a look in them, they popped up the road a couple of weeks ago looking in the save the planet bins.

Its so refreshing to find that some of these communications are funny - much better than moaning all the time, I have only just discovered this site and have replied to nearly everything.

I did understand from reading an article that this is just another Gov, ploy to find out how serious the drink problem is in some areas, and to try to tax the flushings of those consuming more than the average, because it will damage the enviroment.

My husband came up the another silly tax system - how many times you had sex, and performance related penalties - probably this will appear in the next budget!! (lucky its not 1st April yet)
