Stop Global Warming - save the Polar Bears
- Sooze (27th Jan 2007 - 20:35:09)

URGENT!

Please, please visit the website below and join the Virtual March to help stop Global Warming.

If we all join the 'March' and do what we can ourselves, etc., we may, just may make a real difference to the future of this planet.

www.stopglobalwarming.org

Thank you.

Wow, if we join this "global march" we can save the planet (or, at least, the polar bears).

China is commisioning a new coal fired power station every five days.

Hong Kong, a once idillic place to live, is now consumed by smog and anyone who can is emigrating.

The first and second worlds may have done the damage up to now but the third world has the potential to do it in spades and us being "Goody Goody" is not going to make up for our sins, let alone theirs.

Global warming may be a problem, but we do not have a hope in hell of doing anything about it, so stop worrying.

Firstly, two wrongs don't make a right (just because somebody else does something 'bad' does not make it OK for us to NOT try to do 'good').

Secondly, "For evil men to triumph it is only necessary for good men to stand by and do nothing".

Have a nice day!

what good would a march do? presumably most people would travel by car to attend the march thereby increasing the carbon emmissions here. More relevant is to pressurise Latin America to save the rainforests by not allowing deforrestationl Also cheap airline travel has increased the likelihood of global warming, boycott easyjet and ryanair it will have more effect that a march.

There is only one way to stop global warming, that is to replace human beings with trees.

No one has yet suggested a suitable way that might be done.

China opened two more coal fired power stations since my last post and have definite plans for 544 more.

Barbara it's supposed to be a 'virtual' march.....

Never mind pressurising Latin America.....what you should be doing is putting pressure on European Governments to give tax incentives on cleaner cars, so they become cheaper and more attractive IMO!!
