- Michelle (8th Jan 2007 - 19:04:29)
I have recently moved to the village and was wondering if anyone can advise in regards to childcare for School holidays. I have a 11year old child. Is there any clubs or what do all you working mothers do?? Can you help

As far as I know, the only option in Liphook now is Koosa Kids, I think they go up to age 12

There are other options around Hindhead but I think these are Summer only.

Hiya
Koosa does only go up to 12 years old, however it is very good indeed, my children all thoroughly enjoyed it last summer.
There are also several childminders etc in the village, I think if you want details of these then you'll have to get in touch with the council (whether that is East Hampshire District Council or Hampshire County Council I'm not sure).
There are also Man in the Moon holiday clubs. I think that these run to older, and are generally clubs that work for a week at a time on productions of favourite junior stories. These are also very good and are based in Beacon Hill.
I hope that helps

Man in the Moon runs workshops in the main holidays at Haslemere and Beacon Hill. They run a week at a time and follow a children's story such as Shrek, Toy Story, Ages from 6 to 12. They also run a weekly workshop at Liphook Infant School on a Wednesday evening. For more information log onto Man in the Moon.

Michelle,
The Hollycombe Steam Collection runs a summer camp for 10 to 15 year-olds during the school summer holidays. Drive a steam engine, work in the fairground, etc. They're closed for the winter but keep an eye on their website: http://www.hollycombe.co.uk/
