Paralympic Hopeful from Liphook
- Mandy (1st Sep 2012 - 14:12:46)

Has anyone watched Olivia Breen this morning qualify, in difficult circumstances, at the 100m at the London Paralympics?

My family and I sat and cheered her on to qualify in third place, after a lengthy wait following a false start from the German. Hopefully the whole of Liphook will be glued to their TV screens for the final to cheer on our hopeful young lady (the youngest competitor at the games)who is certainly representing Liphook in a magnificent way.

I have know Olivia since she was at Junior School with my daughter, she is an extremely lovely young lady who deserves our support. So come on Liphook lets all get behind her and cheer her on, hopefully for a medal!!

I think the schedule says they will be holding the T38 100m final at 21.18 this evening. I am sure all of Liphook will be watching and cheering. It is an incredible achievement to have reached the Paralympics. Amazing.

Well done Olivia great result making the final and excellent result in the final. Its lovely to see someone we know running representing team GB and our community.

Should there be an olympic theme in the carnival this year maybe you can have a starring role.

Good luck for the rest of your races.

Had already had that thought Tina! I would love Olivia to have a starring role in the Carnival.

It would be good too if we could give her a big welcome when she comes back.
