Old furniture

Does anyone know of any charities that take second hand furniture away for other people to use? I believe there is/was one based in Bordon but don't have any details. I have a 3 seater sofa that needs a new home!

If u contact Help the Aged they will give u a number of such a charity, I rang them to get rid of my fathers big stuff but have lost the number..sorry.. but I originally got the number from H.T.A
PS I am looking for a second hand electric cooker for my father who has moved down here to Fletchers Field....no luck with the Herald these past 3 weeks. IF anyone knows where I might get one plse let me know.

Hi Jane
Yes there is a company in Bordon however, they do ask for a contribution to take away your old sofa. They do stipulate that this is voluntary but I guess as they are a charity that have overheads in terms of storage costs this is to be expected. They are the Furniture helpline, Unit 66, Woomer Industrial estate, Bordon, Hampshire. Their telephone number is 01420 489000. Hope this helps
