Suggestions for a girl's fifth birthday.
- Richard (29th Aug 2012 - 20:21:59)
Now my daughter is getting too big to just run around the house shouting for her birthday, with her friends, I am looking for suggestions and recommendations as to what to try and a venue. Can anyone get the ball rolling please?

We have always had successful parties for my son and daughter from the age of 5 at Heron's Leisure Centre in Haslemere.
They offer various parties but the play zone and bouncy castle choice has always been popular. They also provide a room for doing the party tea but you do have to organise your own food.

Check out Fisher's Farm at Wisborough Green on their website www.fishersfarmpark.co.uk
We have been many times with our three year old grandaughter and she loves it. Lots of interesting animals and masses of climbing, jumping, bouncing, sliding stuff. Almost too much to do in a day.
Picnic area so you can take your own food and I am sure that they have a special party rate as there always seems to be parties on the go. Once you have paid the entry fee everything after that is free including tractor rides, pony rides, animal theatre, roundabouts etc.

How about Miller's Ark at Hook? They do children's birthday parties. Lovely people run it and there are lots of petting animals for the children. Have a look at their website.

To be more local you could also try Whiteleys off Standford Lane, Headley, Bordon.
whiteleysfamilyrestaurant.co.uk
They have a soft play area and a childrens menu

You could hire the church hall and book an entertainer, or bouncy castle - that is always a good one!

Mill Chase. Hire the hall and they put 2 bouncy castles in there.
Tons of room for running around and we do our own face painting/ nail varnish / tattoo/ colouring tables. Been to lots of parties there and the kids (and adults) have a good time. It's a bit cheaper than most of the other ideas I looked at and all the kids from my sons class could fit in.

Stephanie Lee Harper - brilliant female magician. Captivates the children (and adults) and runs the party from beginning to end. You just provide the venue and the food - she even does balloon modelling while they are eating.
Can't praise her enough, both boys and girls had a brilliant time. I believe she is a primary school teacher (or at least she was when we used her about 4 years ago).

Ahh, perhaps not Steph, just looked at her website and see she is now doing parties in Brisbane and the Gold Coast - might be a bit far to come back to Liphook for a party, sorry about that!
