I am not surprised

Liphook didnt make the new owners very welcome did you ?

Eneida, apparently the owners have bought a 35,000 acre estate in the West Highlands and are starting some sort of commune up there. Too cold for me but I have heard that they believe that the world as we know it is about to end and they they are setting up some sort of self sufficient community in Scotland in order to survive Armmageddon ! Are there any Hippies left in LIphook ? perhaps we should all join up!!!!
Weird man, but PEACE TO ALL!, I think I will stay in good old Liphook.

I'd say that it was something a little bit more fundamental than that unless the present owners are super-sensitive to the point of paranoia. No-one was trying to drum them out of town! Dismssing an almost childlike fear of crticism over the boundary hedge as unlikely, one has to assume that a get rich quick scheme was somehow thwarted.

Well 'r' I would be very surprised indeed if the new owners have decided to sell so soon just because some local people questioned why they were grubbing up hedges and cutting down trees....since it's probably the most important property in the village and so close to the centre, they must have expected people to be interested in what was happening there!!

However, I can understand that inquisitive villagers might not be to everybody's liking.

All,

What has happened to the Bohunt Conservancy organisation then ?

Blimey Lisa!!

So the end is nigh....again :)

Well as an ex-estate agent I certainly wouldn't advise them to use 'Armmageddon' as a reason for selling when showing prospective buyers around the place...a tad counter-productive IMO.
