Folding bike needed urgently - Julie (28th Aug 2012 - 15:00:34) We live in Liphook and my 17 year old daughter works various shifts in Bordon. She doesn't drive and because of irregular hours cannot rely on the buses. She needs a folding bike urgently, it needs to be folding because sometimes she can get a lift 1 way or the other.

Re: Folding bike needed urgently - Richard (28th Aug 2012 - 20:01:30) Cycling to Bordon on a daily basis is not very taxing, as the route is not very hilly. Any well maintained bicycle will make the trip easily in about 25 minutes from Liphook. No dependency on lifts! If you are unsure about the best route, I am sure lots of people will advise. I usually go out on the Headley Road, and turn off in Passfield [Hollywater Road], turn right at the Royal Oak pub and follow the road across the crossroads and past Mill Chase. Turn right [ed - I think you mean left] at the end, and it leads onto Chalet Hill. Depending upon which side of Bordon is required, there are other routes.
