Hyperlinks
- Mike Grimes (6th Oct 2006 - 00:49:59)
When I create an email or a Word document, if I type or copy a website URL into it it automatically creates a hyperlink to that site (click on it and off you go).
This does not usually happen on this site although I have noticed that some have mastered the art of posting a URL with a link. Can you let the rest of us into the secret.

Hi Mike
I think that might have been me posting a website link in an email. As far as I recall, find the relevant website (ie by 'surfing' around on EHDC until you find the right page), then go to the address bar at the top of your screen, right click on the address, click 'copy', then go straight to you message and 'paste' the link on its own line. It's worth putting the link back into your address bar, and checking it works though, as its quite easy to chop a bit off, or input the last page you were looking at rather than the one you wanted.
Hope this works - free IT lesssons, whatever next!
Niall

Hi
If we have the time we edit your post to include the correct 'html' code to create a clickable link.
