FLOAT ON... - Dick (8th Sep 2006 - 22:47:52) Once again the time has come to start building the floats for this years Carnival. (Yes we really do start this early) But every year it gets more and more expensive to buy new all the time. No, No we are not asking for money but for any gash materials you might have stuffed at the back of the shed or garage. The sort of thing i mean is timber, netting, chicken wire, old barrels etc. In fact most things can be adapted for something. There are plenty of float builders looking for these materials so why not let us know on this site. Apart from the fact it will be very useful to us, it's a good way of getting rid of some clutter. Re: FLOAT ON... - Nat (22nd Sep 2006 - 13:31:03) well im soooo excited about this years carnival any ideas as to what any themes are this year?? our floats ideas are now getting under way, with a year of talking about it its now being put in to action which is the fun bit of course the real fun only starts for us 4days before carnival cos thats when the majority of the building gets done to go on the lorry on the saturday. for now though the music, all important routine and costumes are all under way. of course we to are always on the hunt for materials wood,gloss paint,cardboad just about anything really to build with so if any one has anything going us guides and brownies would be very gratefull.
