Liphook in Bloom - Katy Clarke (6th Sep 2006 - 17:26:20) Hi Each month on the Sunday following the first Tuesday of the month (confusing I know) we meet from 930am until 1230 pm (at the latest) to weed the beds, plant the beds, tidy the tubs etc etc. As such we are looking for any willing extra helpers this Sunday to help make the village look nice by general tidying of the displays, light weeding and such like. If you would like to help the Liphook in Bloom team for a few hours this month please meet at the Council Office at Midhurst Road at 0930 or look out for the yellow jackets! We'll even provide coffee and biscuits! If you would like to knoe more you can always phone our Chairman (lady) Irene Ellis on Liphook 723823. Incidentally you may be pleased to know we came second out of nine entrants in our category at the South East in Bloom awards (beaten by Wimborne) and achieved a Silver Gilt which we are pleased with bearing in mind the drought conditions!
