LIVE IN CARER JOB. - CER (13th Jul 2012 - 20:11:29) Hi All, I am looking for an experienced live in carer to work as part of a week on / week off rota caring for an elderly lady in Elstead near Godalming. The rate of pay is £90.00 per 24hours. The live in carer is entitled to 2 hours break each day and to eat all meals with the lady. The live in carer will have their own bedroom and bathroom in the upstairs of the house while the lady lives downstairs. The lady has two old, friendly dogs who live downstairs with the lady and the live in carer must like dogs. The ideal candidate should be – • Free to start work on the 23rd July. • Experienced in care work. • A non-smoker. • A car driver with own vehicle (any journeys made for the customer will be reimbursed at 40p per mile) • Willing to provide 2 references. • Willing to have an enhanced level CRB check. • Willing and able to prepare simple meals. • Willing to keep the house clean and tidy (cleaners will visit on a weekly basis to do main cleaning tasks) To express an interest I the post please email charkier@hotmail.com and include details of experience, availability and if possible attach a CV. The role of a live in carer is to live alongside an elderly or disabled person, helping them to stay at home and live life as they wish. Many people choose this as an alternative to residential and nursing homes. It's a great job for the right person. Please good people of Liphook don't start a war over my post - I'm offering an employment oppertunity and just wanted to see if anyone local was interested! The rates of pay are above the usual rates of pay for this kind of position - take it from someone who knows! I'd just like to be contacted via email by intrested parties. I've advertised a couple of previous jobs on this forum and was happy to offer local people employment. Thanks.

Re: LIVE IN CARER JOB. - Richard (14th Jul 2012 - 18:13:28) The mileage rate is the old HMRC rate for the first 10,000 miles. It has gone up to 45p/mile 45p is the tax free limit. Employers are under no obligation to pay mileage at any specific rate.

Re: LIVE IN CARER JOB. - rita (14th Jul 2012 - 22:51:20) there is always going to be someone to complain. it sounds quite reasonable to me. it was nice of the person to offer employment in the area. with the job situation as it is at the moment , you cant be too choosy, hope the old lady finds someone nice.
