Fly tipping at Sainsbury's - Mr Brownstone (2nd Aug 2006 - 12:21:01)
I just wanted to express my disgust at some people who use the glass recycling facilities at Sainsbury’s. While it is very good that the area has so many keen recyclers I am not happy about some of these people fly tipping their bags and boxes used to transport the glass adjacent to the recycle centre.
If you recycle glass please do not leave your rubbish behind at Sainsbury’s – if you do why bother to recycle?

...not to mention the many times that the site has been full to overflowing because Sainsburies haven't bothered to get it cleared. It must be horendous for those living nearby.

As people seem to reluctant to take their containers away after depositing their bottles, can I suggest that the recycling company install two further units, one for plastic bags and one for cardboard boxes. I picked up several boxes yesterday that were being blown around the carpark.

I wondered today when I was at Sainsbury's where the bottle recycling containers have gone. I couldn't see them as the area where they used to be has been taken over by the redevelopement. I think it is pretty poor if their redevelopment deprives us in Liphook of a convenient place to deposit our recycling. (I may add I always take my containers home with me.) Does anyone have any ideas where we take our clothing and bottles for recycling now?

Hi
They were moved to the far corner near the Millennium Centre where the Skateboarders usually are!
