Country Market, Sleaford - Jays (29th Jul 2006 - 13:46:27) Has any-one been to Country Market on the A325 since they introduced their latest 'improvements'? It used to be a good place for fruit and veg (not as good as the greengrocer's shop in Bordon, but still good for home-grown/local produce), but now they've nearly done away with that side of the business altogether; It used to be quite pleasant, to do some virtuous-type shopping, - with maybe an unnecessary cake or two,- and then have a coffee upstairs - but the coffee's not good enough to justify the trip by itself. So, unless they can be persuaded to re-think things, I don't think I'll bother in future.

Re: Country Market, Sleaford - liz (1st Aug 2006 - 13:14:13) I think the new layout has taken away the character of the place completely. I liked to browse and usually bought more than I intended. Now it seems like a supermarket, particularly when you have to walk around what feels like a complete circuit of the building just to get into the food area. More Asda than Country Market. Very disappointing - but probably good for my pocket!
