Water

I was just wondering if anyone else experiences a sort of swimming pool taste to their tap water every now and again. It seems to come and go, but when it comes, the water tastes horrible. Filtering it doesn't really have much effect, and it really spoils my cup of tea. Anyone else? Anyone got any ideas why? Thanks!
