There is a large number of police and people currently walking Liphook streets and through the parks and alleys looking for Pamela Sinclair. She's been missing for over 12 hours and has dementia. She doesn't know her name. They are concerned about her getting de-hydrated. She is wearing trousers and T-shirt and has her ID in her handbag. Please contact police asap if you see her. She has curly white hair. She came from the Ridgeway area but can walk some distance.

Police are appealing for help in tracing a missing Liphook woman.
Pamela Sinclair, 78, was last seen at around 1.30pm on Sunday, May 27 in Tower Road, Liphook, by a neighbour. Mrs Sinclair was leaving home to go for a walk.
She is described as 5ft, small build, with short wavy grey hair. When she was last seen she was wearing a t.shirt, trousers, dark brown laced up shoes, and a cross necklace.
Inspector Paul Owen, said: “We are concerned for the welfare of Mrs Sinclair as she has now been missing for a considerable amount of time. She may appear confused as she is suffering from dementia and could be dehydrated in the warm weather.
“We know that she used to be a keen rambler and is known to walk for long distances before getting tired and asking for help. Mrs Sinclair has gone missing before and on a previous occasion was found in Surrey.
“I am appealing to the community to help us in our search. Please keep a look out for Mrs Sinclair while out and about. If you see a lone elderly female and think it could be Mrs Sinclair, please call us. Please do not hesitate to call us, we would rather be called out and it not be the right person, than not be called at all.
“I would urge members of the community to check any private CCTV, gardens, sheds and outbuildings.
“Please report any sightings to the police immediately, quoting Operation Flower Dew.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the duty sergeant at Alton Police Station on 101.

I saw some Police vehicles in the Hammer area this morning. I hope she is found safely quickly.
Any chance of a Facebook group/link being set up so people can post it to their wall?

This causes me great concern.
If the police are going to organise a ground search party by members of the public, I would be first to volunteer. It would need proper co-ordinating so the same areas don’t get searched twice by different groups meaning other area's get missed.
The copters may have infra red and heat seeking kit but if she could have fallen and be lain unconscious in undergrowth, that would be difficult to detect from the air.

There is a link on Hampshire constabulary's facebook page that people can share to get this out there to as many people as possible.

Re Chrissy's comment,
There are recognised search teams of volunteer members of the public already established. Hampshire, Sussex and Surrey are three of the local teams, and may well all have been involved in this search. Just Google 'Hampshire (or Sussex or Surrey) search and rescue' and you'll get to their web pages.
You are quite right about the need for foot searchers as well as helicopters. The police prefer to use established teams who are trained, equipped and accountable, rather than trying to organise willing, but often inexperienced or ill-equipped people, who can actually take more resources to organise than they free up!
If you are interested, get in touch with your local unit.
