Does anyone know of anywhere I can get a photo scanned onto a birthday cake?

That is something I can do! Please have a look at www.liphookcakecompany.co.uk if it is something of interest please contact me via the website!
Thanks!

I did this last year and used eBay. Delivery was very quick.

Is this transferring your image onto a cake you've made or buying a ready-made cake with an image on it?
Option 1 - if you've made the cake and need an image on it talk to caketoppers.co.uk who can supply your image on a piece of icing,
Option 2 - Asda (Waterlooville-ish) can do cakes with your image on. Also possibly Waitrose in Petersfield/Haslemere (Petersfield used to do made-to-order Simnel Cake so they may do specials). Maybe Sainsburys can but they don't advertise the fact.
Either way you probably need to have a digital version of your image. If it's a print/transparency then PRC or Raymond Reid in Haslemere can turn it into a digital image on CD - this can then be given to Asda or emailed.
It's not easy to do this yourself because you need to use edible inks and edible paper - but I'd be happy to be corrected on this.

Hello I would highly recommend Liphook Cake Company, I have had 2 of the most delicious cakes from Vicky in the past 6 months and everyone has commented on not only the design which was fantastic but the quality of the cake itself - absolutely delicious.

Thank you everyone for your replies.
Since me starting my panic my son has had a brainwave(?) about his dream cake so he now wants me to spend every evening helping me make it!
Vicki, I've noted your number for next time.
