Liphook Post Office
- Cherry Blackmore (16th May 2012 - 14:35:13)

Has anyone else been greatly inconvenienced by our local Post Office closing with little notice and and no indication as to when it will re-open OR where the nearest one from Liphook is? Not good publicity for either the Co-operative or Post Office, especially as access to anyone at the Post Office Depot is practically non-existent.

Notices stating the post office closure and reopening dates have been displayed on the counter for weeks. There has also been a 10 foot banner plastered outside the shop with these dates and I believe they have layed on a free bus service to petersfield post office during closure. It has also been advertised on the front page of the liphook herald .

There was a lot of notice.
They are open again of the 24th I think it said.

I do still wish that Passfield PO was open. I think Greatham is the nearest or Borson.

As an alternative, there is a Post Office in the Londis store at Lindford and at Whittles in Headley Down - both of which are very friendly and extremely helpful.

I have been using Grayshott Post Office -extremely friendly and efficient. They also have a great selection of greetings cards - and a coffee shop!

The Post Office has just re-opened in the neighbouring village of Greatham. Very friendly and efficient staff no queues. The PO is also a small shop and cafe. Very nice too!
