Parish council by-election (2006 thread)
- nigel newman (21st Jun 2006 - 14:26:25)

Thank you for flagging up the parish council by-election polling day (Thursday June 22) in your Local News section. I should just point out that there is a polling station at the Church Centre as well as the Millennium Hall.
I have just spent a privileged few days canvassing people in Bramshott and Liphook and have tried to cover as many places as I can with my election leaflets.
Apologies therefore to anyone I have not been able to reach. Thanks to those who have taken the time to stop and have a chat about their concerns, and their hopes and fears for the future. Whatever happens on election day, the warmth and support I have found has strengthened both my resolve and my belief that Liphook should be a great place to live.
Nigel.

What a difference 3 little months make eh Nigel!!!

I just wanted to say how trilled I was to read the leading article in the Liphook Herald today about you and your thoughts on being a Parish Councillor....I can now see that you have all the qualities that make a great politician....gave me a really warm, fuzzy feeling to think I helped to elect you....

Wow, and what a difference two years makes. I too voted for Nigel in that election in the hope that he would help to bring transparancy and openness to the workings of the council.

If he did, he has not told us about it.
