Liphook in Bloom
- E (21st Apr 2012 - 13:22:49)

As a resident of Liphook I'd like to thanks to those who were working on behalf of the village, making the flowerbeds look beautiful. I will get round to volunteering! I hope I can learn from their experience! Thank you for making our village beautiful!

To E. Thankyou for your message - it is nice to see in writing how much we are appreciated. We are very proud of our part in this great community and all enjoy keeping the village blooming throughout the year. However it is hard work and we are always looking for more volunteers so if you are interested in joining us do get in touch through our website www.liphookinbloom.co.uk or just come along to our next working day if you can on Sunday 6th May meet 9.30am Midhurst Rd. Carpark or I would be happy to send you a list of our working days for 2012. We don't expect you to turn up every time- just when you can and we always have coffee & kitkats around 11.00am outside the Anchor ! So you can always come and say hello and see if you like us!!
Hope to see you
Jan for LIB

What I would like to know is how you manage to make the tulips in the Square stand up so beautifully straight in the horrible weather we've had the last few days...they really do look beautiful :-)

Funny - I stopped at the roundabout this afternoon and wondered exactly the same thing .. they really are very upright for tulips .. maybe they've stuck metal rods up the stems !

With regard to the Tulips - in case you want to know the variety, they are Ad Rem Hybrid Tulips - so I am informed by our 'Plant Planner' but not sure how we manage to get them to stand so upright it must be ' the way we plant 'em '! so why not come along and help us and you might learn some tips??

Jan
