TETRA radio communications mast

Does anyone in the Parish know anything about the new TETRA radio masts?
I have been researching the Government's own scientific research, which has raised some doubts about possible harmful effects of the microwaves.
I recommended rejecting an application for a temporary (12-months) mast at Beeches Hill, off Gentles Lane (a bit along from High Hurlands), at last week's Parish Planning Committee meeting.
EHDC will now take a final decision, but reading the Petersfield Post this week, this is obviously not the only Parish with concerns.
If there are any telecoms engineers reading here, would really like some informed feedback.
