New to Liphook
- Jacky (12th Apr 2012 - 17:00:08)

Hello everyone,

We have just moved to Liphook from Woking and hoping to meet other mums in the area. My son Dexter will be 2 next month and I am hoping that there are other mums in the area with similar age children that would like to meet up. I am a stay at home mum, so it can be a little lonely sometimes especially when you are new to an area.

Welcome to Liphook- I hope you will be happy here, there are a lot of mother and toddler groups, and I am sure someone will point you in the right direction! We have a community magazine and there are 2 pages at the back filled with clubs! I do not have children so cannot give you a contact on that sorry. What are your other interests?

Hi Jacky,
Welcome to Liphook. My daughter is nearly 2. We don't go to any of the playgroups in Liphook as they are on days when I work but we are going to try the one in Hammer for the first time next Thursday. It's a great place to have small children, loads to do.
Feel free to give me an email if you fancy meeting up sometime, if the editor doesn't mind passing on my email address.
Hope the move has all gone well

Hi Jacky,

Welcome to Liphook. We moved here just over 2 years ago and I can honestly say its the best move we ever made. I have 3 children, aged 8, 5 and 2. I tend to go to a Toddler group at the Church Centre on a friday morning at 10am. The Mums there are a lovely bunch and very welcoming! It would be great to see you there in the morning if you can make it!

HI

I run a preschool messy play session on a Monday morning at the Infant School community room. Its called Tiddlers and runs from 9.30 - 11am and only cost £3.00. Its a great way to meet new people and allows your child to do all the messy things you dont want to do at home!. We start back on the 23rd April, Maybe see you then

Hi everyone,

Wow thank you so much for all the replies. I will definitely be trying out the toddler groups that everyone has mentioned and so hopefully see you all around, really excited about the move to Liphook.

Vicki will definitely love to meet up. Have sent you a separate e-mail, so hopefully you will get it.

Hi again Jacky,

You haven't by any chance just moved into Canada Way have you? If, so I think you might be my neighbour!

Hi Charley,

We have just moved into 25 Canada Way. Will definately come round to introduce myself if I am thinking of the right house. Can't make this Friday's Toddler group, but will definately join you at the next one.

Hi,
We also only moved here in last 6 months. My son will be 2 next month. I also go to the Church Centre on Tuesdays and to Mad Hatters toddler group on Thursday afternoons 1-2.30pm (back of the the Bohunt).
Would like to know where the venue is in Hammer for the Thursday morning group please?
Carol

Hi Jacky,

I was right then!!! We are number 19, at the back of your garden. The ones with the messy back garden at the moment (its not normally like that, we're about to have some work done to it). Maybe you'd like to pop round for coffee on Tuesday? My older two don't go back to school until next week, so we are out and about this week.

Hi Charley,

How funny is that. Definitely up for coffee on Tuesday, what time is best? I am sure your garden looks much better than ours:-)

Editor could you please pass on my e-mail to Charley, thank you.

Hello,

I am hoping to move to Liphook (Canada Way) soon and would love yo meet some Mums. Was wondering if I could tag along to this thread!?

I thought Liphook might be a bit quiet but so far it seems there is lots to do which is good. I have a 2 year old and 5 month old so getting out of the house is a must!

Let me know if you fancy getting in touch.

Thank you,

SInead

Hi Sinead,

When are you moving to Canada Way? We moved to Canada Way at the end of March. I'd definately be up for meeting up. I have a son who was 2 in May and have a baby on the way, due November.

Would be nice to meet other mums as not been in Liphook very long.

Jacky
