Advice Pls
- Concerned (2nd May 2006 - 18:16:02)
In the area which I live on the village outskirts large walls (higher that 2ft) and caravans visibly externally are not allowed according to original deeds, and one of each has appeared nr to my property.
Now I have nothing against caravans but don't want to look at somebodys elses from my windows !!
Now as the deeds state that caravans are not allowed to be in view and front gardens to remain unenclosed this neighbour is flouting both what is the correct way to resolve this avoiding confrontation..!!??

If the wall were a lot higher than 2' would you still be able to see the caravan? Would that be better?

I always think talking to your neighbour in a friendly manner first often helps to resolve these issues - if not at least you will find out their intentions for how long the caravan is to stay in situ! If you cannot resolve this then maybe pop to the council office on Midhurst Road - they are very helpful in these matters and can advise you on the best way forward. Hope you get things resolved amicably.

Check with parish council office , they will be best to give advice or point in right direction

Personally I hate caravans, but I marginally prefer them off the road then on as they are normally driven by inconsiderate stupid people who somehow forget they have one on tow.
So perhaps if it's not moved soon a controlled explosion would help, providing noone lives in it of course? :-)
I have the same deeds as you so I can pretty much guess where you may live, although I haven't seen a caravan or a wall.
