BIG PHIL
- Eneida (27th Apr 2006 - 15:09:59)
A Brazilian to be put in charge of England ?? :)
Obviously, I think it's an excellent idea and really very funny, but I can imagine it wont go down too well in some quarters.....

Eneida,
A BIG PHIL would be infinately more digestible than a BIG MAC!
Any comments, footie fans?.

Eneida,
Ain't it strange how things turn themselves around! Big Phil obviously didn't think he was BIG enough for the job and all that goes with it. Big Mac presumably, is content that he is. I think Big Phil is possibly the winner in this in-so-much-as he will be able to wake up each and every morning knowing he will not have to talk to the eedjits in the F.A. that he might have had to otherwise.
All other unsuccessful candidates for the job should count their blessings; only our Government is as monumentally ineffective as the F.A.
Anyway, the climate is much more agreeable in Portugal than here and can't think why Big Phil would have chosen to swap one for the other anyway.

Well Allan you're certainly right about the weather!! I know Cascais, where he lives, very well indeed and it's really a lovely place by the sea with a superb climate.
I read an interview with Big Phil's mother in Brazil and she said the mistake the FA made was that they asked the wrong person. Apparently his wife, Olga, loves living in Portugal and didn't have any intention of moving to England and Big Phil always does what she says....like a good husband should ;)
