Hose Pipe Ban
- Available Pensioner (18th Mar 2012 - 18:00:28)

Having read with interest the restrictions on hoses published in the latest Herald, I see that as I am over 65 I can use a hose. So if anyone wants to use my services for a fee to charity then I am available. I must point out that I have to be covered by Health and Safety!

Not even sure we are in a hosepipe ban.

Went to Southern Water website and put in our (Liphook) postcode and it said no restrictions in place.

Both Southern and South East water restrictions start on April 5th apparently.

From Southern Water website right now:

Drought 2012 - Water restrictions
Southern Water is to bring in restrictions on water use for the first time since 2005/6, following the second driest 12 months on record.

The restrictions, which will include the use of hosepipes and sprinklers, come into effect from April 5 for customers in Kent and Sussex who receive their water from us

Our water customers in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will not be affected by restrictions at this time, but we are asking them not to waste water.

My water is supplied by South East Water, so please check your bill to see which water company you pay in Liphook

So as per my previous post, Liphook Southern Water customers are ok.
