Poppies go up through the village - LIB (23rd Oct 2025 - 13:04:32) This week we teamed up with the Liphook Branch of the British Legion to attach poppies to the lamp posts throughout the village. Not only are the poppies a reminder of the many sacrifices made for us, but also represent the ongoing need to support the whole of the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, their families and the bereaved. The silhouette of the soldier will be added to the Millennium Bed after Carnival. Also, do pop in to St Mary’s Church in Bramshott, where a team of veterans has installed a moving display which provides a beautiful space for anyone wanting to take a moment to remember the fallen and the service of veterans.

Re: Poppies go up through the village - paul (23rd Oct 2025 - 18:14:26) Hi, Well done Lib, and all volunteers. To donate, even a small amount, to a great cause for now, and the future. The pace of modern life, does not always give time to reflect on others, now, and in the past. Servicemen have died for us. This is to have a peaceful life in U.K. now, and our future families. I served in the Royal Navy, not in War time, but know their dedication. They have duty, and protect us. Spare a £1 when you see a Poppy appeal Tin, it will go a long way to a worthy cause.
