Any body know why they named the new oap place after a margerine?
| | Flora Jane Thompson (née Timms; 5 December 1876 – 21 May 1947) was an English novelist and poet best known for her semi-autobiographical trilogy about the English countryside, Lark Rise to Candleford.
In 1903 she married John William Thompson, a post office clerk and telegraphist from the Isle of Wight, in 1916 they moved to Liphook. |
