Liphook Horticultural Society 's October Talk
- Liphook Horticultural Society (9th Oct 2025 - 18:55:16)

Liphook Horticultural Society's October talk is on Thursday 16 October, 7.30pm at the Church Centre in Liphook.

This month's talk is titled "For The Love Of Roses".

We are delighted to be joined by Gillian Taylor who is an enthusiastic gardener and plantswoman with a passion for roses.

She will tell us the story of how she became a lover of roses. She had only 2 roses a few years ago and has progressed to growing around 250 varieties in her collection.

The talk will discuss the diverse types of rose that are available, where to buy them, how to use them in various garden settings, where to see them, their care and suggestions for companion plants to use with them.

Please don't forget we have a fun competition at our talks!
Bring a flowering (can be multi-flowered) single stem from your garden in a vase along to the talk. We will ask our speaker to pick the best flower and award the trophy. The winner keeps the trophy and brings it to the next talk.

There will be tea and biscuits served after the talk and a raffle. If you have any raffle prizes, they are always very welcome.

Members admission is Free, Guests £5.

We look forward to seeing you there.
