u3a monthly talk - Pauline Murdoch (3rd Oct 2025 - 15:28:47) Diary date - our next Monthly Speakers Meeting is Monday 6th October at 2.00 p.m. £3.00 for members, £4.00 for guests (includes a cuppa and biscuits at the end). in Liphook Millennium Centre. Speaker: Neil Tucker "Aerobility – Disabled Flyers" Neil will talk about Aerobility, a UK charity that changes lives by providing the disabled community access to the magic and wonder of flight. Neil has always had a love of aviation and took his first solo flight at the age of 18. He is still a very keen aviation enthusiast Neil is, however, a very different person to his teenage self. In 2014, following a horrific motorcycle accident where he almost lost his life, he ended up profoundly disabled; amongst other things, losing a leg and the use of his left arm. Determined to fly again, despite many ‘naysayers’ his recent solo was a very special achievement and worthy of celebration, no matter how unorthodox!
