Traffic lights Headley Road
- Jon (28th Sep 2025 - 08:48:46)

For the Liphook postman, I assume he’s still a postman, driving the black Mercedes saloon on the Headley Road this morning about 8 o’clock.
Driving through the red light doesn’t set a good example to your boy in the car with you.
Let’s hope he doesn’t grow up to drive like you.

About four weeks ago traffic lights, cones and barriers were erected in the Headley Road on the approach to the Square, on the Thursday but no work was commenced until the following Monday. This was completed mid day on the Thursday but the lights, cones and barriers were not removed until mid day on the following Monday.

On Thursday 25th September lights, cones and barriers were once again erected a little further down the Headley Road, no doubt in anticipation of more hole-diggery on Monday 29th of September. But no, all lights, cones and barriers were removed on Monday 29th September without a stroke of work being done! But not before traffic chaos had ensued.

Yes Paul bit like the old days not my job I only drill the holes someone else puts the screw in . Unions at their best ruining the country the Hampshire Council needs to get a grip on all this demarcation if they were all self employed they would have to do everything including making the tea .

Why is it that all the unwanted signs can’t be collected a man with a lorry could drive around and pick up all the redundant signs in a few hours. The same goes for all the signs put up for advertising around liphook some even not for liphook left and not taken down after the event. So many lovely people try to make liphook look good picking up litter etc and LIB doing a fantastic job with flowers such a shame that people put up signs on railings and round abouts ect making it look unkempt. We have such a great community here in liphook a lovely place to live.
