Lloyds Bank closing Petersfield - Jon76 (25th Sep 2025 - 18:44:24) For those who don't use online banking or apps, Lloyds bank is closing several more in January 2026, those included in Hampshire are Petersfield, Fleet, Havant, Totton & Hedge End. This leaves just Nationwide & Santander as banks/building societies in Petersfield.

Re: Lloyds Bank closing Petersfield - AF (25th Sep 2025 - 20:59:34) Sad to hear. The banks say that people don't use the branches anymore so they have to close. I needed to open some new bank accounts recently and move some money around and went to branch to do it and they said they couldn't do it I had to use internet(which I refuse to use) or telephone. So it's not that we don't use branches they don't let us use the branches. The nearest will be Aldershot or Guildford.

In this locality there will then be Guildford, Camberley, Aldershot & Farnborough. After the Liphook closure I have taken to use the Lloyds Community Banker who operates in the Millennium Centre on Thursdays. She handles almost all of my modest bank needs. This service is well worth using.

I agree that the closure of bank branches has encouraged more people to bank online. That was the case with me. I used to bank with NatWest but when they closed the Bordon branch I then had to go to Grayshott, which was a bit of a pain (a lot more traffic back then, long before the tunnel was built). So I decided to switch from NatWest to an online bank. That was about 25 years ago and I haven't needed to visit a bank branch since.

Re: Lloyds Bank closing Petersfield - Sandy (30th Sep 2025 - 10:45:57) There is the Haslemere Banking Hub which is open Monday-Friday from 9-5. Each day there is a different Bank representative there, but,you can still withdraw money, pay in cash etc. on any day.,there is a posting about this on Facebook. Also Lloyds Bank at Millennium Centre on a Thursday, but you can’t withdraw or pay in cash.
