Volunteer driver needed
- Liphook Day Centre (18th Sep 2025 15:51:22)
Hello everyone,
One of our long-standing volunteer drivers has decided that he has put in enough years of service for us and is taking a well-deserved retirement from driving our mini-bus.
So, we are looking for someone who would be willing to help us out just two hours per week, every Wednesday (9.30-10.30 and 2.30-3.30). The role is to collect a couple of clients from within the Liphook area to bring them to the Peak Centre in Midhurst Road, and then return them home again at the end of the day.
We have the use of a small mini-bus, for which no special licence is needed (just a standard car driving licence). No heavy lifting or personal care required, but some basic assistance with getting elderly clients on and off the bus.
No experience necessary, just kindness and patience. The Liphook Day Centre is a warm, caring and friendly place and we have a wonderful team of volunteers and a lovely bunch of clients spending time with us.
