Hi
Just been turned back by a “few Heavies” at the Size construction site. (Hollycombe House). Advised that they were closing the road for six weeks. This surprised me as I use the road a lot and there were not warning notices in recent weeks. Got home and looked this up, and copies of the closure order are copied below. It is going to close.
This will cause significant additional traffic and hassle.

It is really poor no advance warnings i travel to midhurst several times a week and it is very inconvenient not sure whats going on but it is changing the country effect of the area , guess i should be a multi millionaire.

The bridge before Watercress Line bridge at Alton was closed for "repairs". Look at that area now.

Not the end of the world, it isn't much slower to go via Camelsdale.
The road does need the drainage sorting and is very overgrown

Shame it's the Hoolycombe steam extravaganza this weekend - hope it doesn't affect the event for them.

I'm sure the road will be open for that, anyone would think Hollycombe own the road. As bad as Goodwood's authoritarian road closures.

@Rob - it will be a lot slower going through Camelsdale with the Haslemere Road being closed as well! Presumably drivers will have to go up the A3 to Hindhead and then pick up the Camelsdale route at Shottermill. Bit of a dogleg!

I see I am correct, no road closures for Hollycombe.
