Local walking and running surfaces around Liphook.
- paul (15th Aug 2025 - 13:40:51)

Hi,

Our village has a high number of elderly citizens. When will the local council attend to the very changeling need?
There are difficult terrains, and very narrow pavements.

It is all very well repairing local roads, but local residents need safe places to walk, including young children.

Personally, I think they look an accidents waiting to happen. Hopefully they will not be a tragedy from a passing car.

A close inspection survey from the Square, to one mile radius is needed. This would identify the problems for walkers, and also local runners.

Can we local Liphook residents set-up a campaign, for a worthy cause? This is for current, and future generations living here?

I think any pavement issues are dealt with by Hampshire County Council. To accommodate the needs of the elderly and runners both would be a difficult task. I personally find that runners think pedestrians should get out of their way when jogging on urban or indeed any path and they do not give way.
