I saw a cat I didn't recognise today in our garden in Locke Road. Quite a big cat, beautiful condition. Not a puma, might have been tabby.

Hi Sonia,
There is a tabby cat in and around the Maltings / Locke Road area. It is quite small .

Hi Tracy,
Yes Jack is quite small and skinny. I've spent hours in the Maltings tapping his cat bowl like a lunatic but haven't seen him. If anyone can trap him in a shed or garage I will come straight round to see if it's him. I'd be so grateful. My number is 07770 615372. I will continue to stake out both roads too.
Many thanks. Really heart warming that everyone has replied.

Thank you to everyone that replied. Jack came home this morning. Very skinny but otherwise unharmed.

Hi Sonia
I can't tell you how happy I am for you that your cat has returned home, unscathed I assume. One of my cats disappeared 3½ years ago and I still desperately miss him. I hope he settles back in very quickly with you and realises just how lucky he is to have a caring and concerned owner.
Good luck to you both
