Trains and hot weather
- AF (11th Jul 2025 - 15:15:30)

Well SWR have excelled themselves today, the trains are not delayed. All trains from Havant to Guildford in both directions are CANCELLED.

In their manifesto, our glorious Labour leaders said re-nationalising trains services such as SWR would "improve service reliability and staff morale".

Labour's Transport Secretary added it would lead to "fewer cancellations", and "one railway team worth as one team".

All Hail Great British Railways!

Off topic I know, but Great British Energy will also be a resounding success, won't it?!

Absolute bliss, no trains going past my house.

Was undecided now decided,

What is that saying anyone born before the 80’s like to use… “Rome wasn’t built in a day” the trains can’t be fixed in a day, it’s been a year since Labour took office and what 2 months since they took over SWR it takes time.

I can’t wait for when they stop showing their stupid mascots that pigeon and gull - both vermin just like their service

I remember British Rail in the 80s, it was rubbish, worse than the privatised TOCs. I'm sure that the new union run nationalised rail company will be just as useless....

Ah, A Young Person! There's another phrase us oldies use that you might wish to reflect on: If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.

Besides which, a whole year is plenty of time to fix something, so stop using that excuse ... ! If you think differently, just let me know how long you think is the correct amount of time for our Glorious Leader to fix things:

1-2 years
3-5 years
5+

But the trains have been broken? They have been shocking for years, I know as I have had to deal with it.

Well it isn't hot today, maybe it's the wrong sort of rain?
Trains are totally useless....

Yes this time its rain and delays and cancellations, oh well another Delay Repay claim submitted.
