Cleaner looking for clients - Fresh Start Cleaning (22nd Jun 2025  00:35:52) Hello! I am starting up my cleaning business and looking to book in clients. I will be starting officially in September, taking on both regular and one off clients and provide all my own products/equipment except a hoover. My standard rate is £10 an hour. Anyone worth their salt will have references and a DBS,, experience and all their own equipment including a vacuum and mops because they are essential. Perhaps you could add to your original plea. Money earned is all very entrepreneurial but its too hard to come by to give it away without much more information from you to provide some confidence when going into people's homes. Buyer beware comes to mind here!

Just wanted to clarify that I'm not quite 18 yet and this is a business which I started in order to fund my post A-Levels trip. I appreciate the advice as I am new to running a business (but not new to cleaning!) and will look into a DBS check. Unfortunately while I can and do provide all other necessary cleaning equipment, I cannot bring a hoover with me to clients houses as I do not have a car/reliable lifts. Thank you

Can you clarify that you are NOT currently in secondary or college education, which would of course carry additional limits on the type and timing of any work you carry out? I respectfully ask this out of a place of concern for any ongoing education if there is any, nothing else (I appreciate it's likely summer holidays).

I completely agree with the previous poster's comment about how enterprising this is as a way of funding post-A level travel plans without relying on the bank of Mum and Dad
