Folly Pond
- Alan (16th Feb 2012 - 17:21:31)

I was interested in knowing who owns Folly Pond? Is it publicly-owned and can it be used for boating/fishing etc?

Hi Alan, its owned by Folly Manor and it is not for public use which is a shame as it has a good stock of fish. Might be worth a knock on the door and asking.

Thanks for the reply. Never mind. Are there any other ponds or waterways close-by where you can paddle a kayak without a licence? I have been given an old one and I just need to find out if it is going to sink before embarking on a more adventurous outing!

Possibly Frensham but I'm not sure if you need permission from someone.

Apparently no boats at all allowed on the Little Pond. Perhaps you could ask the Sailing Club at the Big Pond if you could just test your kayak...

How about Petersfield Heath?

Boats and swimming not allowed at Waggoners - presumably because of the fishing.
