Re: Coming soon ... - Joe (24th May 2025 - 22:04:17) The business may not have bought the freehold premises anyway that may belong to someone else so the exterior appearance may not be theirs to enhance. So long as the food is good and preparation hygienic that is important.

Re: Coming soon ... - Food Fan (4th Jun 2025 - 17:23:08) How lovely to see the new owners of this property are refurbishing the outside of the premises - it will make this much neglected eyesore so much better for Liphook, and thanks to them for doing it. So , troll on those who think the quality of food has nothing to do with the appearance of the retail outlet . Pride in all areas says a lot for this new venture. The very best of luck for success. Can't wait to give it a try ....

Re: Coming soon ... - Rob (5th Jun 2025 - 10:13:28) I'm keen fo try it, any update on when you're opening please? I don't do Facebook. It's a shame that it's only going to be a takeaway, I'd have thought it was ripe for a full restaurant with the unused Lazy Lizard next door. It would be nice to have another place to eat out in the village. Guidos is great and the Green Dragon isn't bad, but other than that the choices are limited to pub food which at the Anchor is dreadful.

Re: Coming soon ... - Russ (5th Jun 2025 - 11:43:22) Rob the dragon is fantastic food well cooked. We do have a really good selection of good pubs around the area something for everyone. Yes it would make a nice restaurant put together not my cup of tea Indian not for me but is very popular.

Re: Coming soon ... - Mark (5th Jun 2025 - 12:35:36) Rob on checking their FB page, it still doesn't have a definitive date for opening, rather a 'next week ' posted twice on May 24th & May 26th May 24th post; Opening hours will be 04:30pm - 22:30pm - 7 days a week including bank holidays. Stay tuned for our grand opening next week! Menu hasn't been posted yet,but south Indian & Sri Lankan sounds great & a much needed alternative to other food outlets already in the village. The local pub food is overpriced IMO.

Re: Coming soon ... - Joe (5th Jun 2025 - 13:36:36) Food fan no one is “trolling” anyone it is a takeaway establishment. I wish them well and hope that it is good South Indian and Sri Lankan food. We do need more choice than we currently have and Indian food is the second most popular if not now the most popular take away food after fish and chips.

Indian food is our national cuisine and nobody does it better than us, a blend of the spices India is famous for and British taste, you can't get a better curry experience than here in Blighty!
