THANK YOU
- Liphook in Bloom (14th Apr 2025 - 08:28:17)

Thank you to all those people who turned out on Sunday morning to help Liphook in Bloom with the Litter Pick. There was a great turn out and a huge amount of litter was cleared.

The village has had a good spring clean!

A huge thank you to those who litter picked at the weekend. The village is looking beautiful! Sorry I was away at the weekend and not able to help this time but I shall continue doing regular litter picks myself.

To say thank you, I'd like to make a donation to LIB. Is anyone able to advise how to do this? Thank you.

Thank LIB for their good work making our village a more pleasant place to be in.

The flowers schemes are lovely, and understandably they bring the enthusiasm for the volunteers. However, is there a more balanced approach between lovely bedding flowers and a more general upkeep of our ornamental areas? We see lovely flower beds next to neglected, littered, dilapidated, vandalized areas.

I appreciate LIB is about flowers in very well defined areas, and they're up against Council and private ownerships, but still...

Just a thought, enlighten us?

Thank you for your kind comments.

LIB have ‘permission to cultivate’ from HCC and our Parish Council for specific areas and beds in the village. The area surrounding these beds is not under our control but we often make representations to the appropriate authorities to try and get weeds removed, seats repaired and damaged street furniture replaced.

If you could contact us by email at liphookinbloom@gmail.com and mention the specific, neglected, littered, dilapidated, vandalized areas to which you refer we will endeavour to see what we can get done about them.
