Old landfill site on Longmoor Road - Ava (1st Mar 2025 01:24:07)
I was wondering if anyone had any information about the old landfill site that was on Longmoor Road. From looking at maps it seems it stretched from the Shell service station to the Lowsley Farm nature reserve. Does anyone know what was stored there? And when it was closed?

Not sure what you mean but where the new housing estate is used to be a brick yard and the sangs area was lowsely farm all the area was farm land in later years. Farmed by Mr Swinstead he applied for planning permission for housing but was turned down flat no way they said he sold it as a farm within a very short period it was passed for housing hum make your own mind up about that.
