STOLEN!
- Chris (23rd Jan 2012 - 23:04:09)

I would like to thank whomever has stolen my site boards from two seperate locations in Liphook. I am a local builder trying to earn a living locally and theses boards have been stolen from within the property boundries of my sites, one from Haslemere Road and one from Longmoor Road at Griggs Green. Both of these boards were held in place with wire which had been cut. It has cost me nearly £200 to replace these and will now have to take extreme measures to ensure that the replacements aren't stolen. At first I thought it was just mindless vandalism but there is no trace of even the destroyed boards at the locations. After a few enquiries I have some information which I have passed onto the police. If anyone has any further information please feel free to pass it on to me. Thanks

That's nuts, what good are personal boards to someone else??
It's a very strange world we live in!

maybe a competitor?

Hi Chris

We live where you had the Longmoor Road board. My husband and I reckon it went at the weekend. We have had our entrance board uprooted and thrown elsewhere in the past - we assume by kids -- have you looked in the bushes on the other side of the road?

The wire cutting scenario is a bit worrying as kids usually don't carry wire cutters though.

If it is competitors, that is horrid!!

Hi, I would just like to say thank you for taking the time for replying to my thread as this confirms my thoughts and other information received.

If you give us a description of the boards, we can all keep a look out when out walking.

It is ridiculous what some people will steal.
I had the magnetic company signs stolen off my car not long ago. who would want to take magnetic signs with my company name and email address on them??? bizarre.

It's not that they want them, it's that they think it's funny to cause inconvenience and expense to people!!!

The signs have blue writing on a white board. My company logo has a blue background a white logo and writing. The company name is Orb Property Services. Rather ironically, I've had to spend a fair amount of money on some more boards which are more noticeable and have since led to me receiving more work so if it was a competitor their antics have backfired!. I now put them up during the day and take them down at night

Thank you all for taking an interest.

Your not on your own!I have had nine pub style benches stolen,Yes nine last year in the middle of the night and some body stole my 5ft A Board Signs on the roadside;fortunately a member of the public spotted them dumped near a sub station about half a mile away, there are some serious idiotic small minded people living around here. These people need to be caught and publicly flogged. Why cant the police ever catch these people?all they ever give us is a report number.I also had a large Marquee stolen in the Night the year before this. All i can say is we live in an area where there are some serious low lifes. The main thing i have found is to not let them win,put it aside in your mind and move on.
