Seeking livery yard
- joanna martin (21st Jan 2006 - 15:00:34)

We are moving to Liphook in Feb, and are looking for a livery yard for a fat new forest pony. Part livery/assisted DIY would be fine. Nice friendly yard preferable.
Can anyone give us any suggestions?

Joanna -

Don't know much about horses or livery but you might ask in Hiscock's - they tend to know all the animal people in the area and Aneshka - who works there - has the famous stables in Bramshott.

Could also try popping into the Parish office and asking for the names/numbers of the local horseriders who come along to Byways Forum meetings.

I remember one lady is Sue (British Horse Society) and she rides regularly around the area and will possibly know of local livery availability.

Out of interest: how much does it cost to stable a horse? Only asking because a friend in Hertfordshire reckons £75 a week for full livery is cheap. Is it?

Hope this helps.

Freddie

Try Isobel at Waterside, Passfield. Its on the Headley Road on the right about 1 mile after the bridge over the A3.

Thanks to Stephen and Freddie for your help! £75 a week is about right I think - and good for full livery.

I know your message was posted in 2006 Joanna, I am moving to Liphook but 8 years after you...how did you get on with it all. I have good knowledge of the area. Thanks
