Cold Calling

Has anyone had a call this weekend asking if you want your drive resurfaced, roof done, etc ?
I have and advised them that if i wanted things like that done I would go to an appropriate and competent bulder.
The residents most vunerable are the elderly so be warned and say NO regardless of their patter and attempts for you to part with your money. You can ill afford for a job that you do not want in the first place.

Register with the Telephone Preference Service and then if you are cold called you just have to say and they get off the phone double quick... as if they get reported for cold calling they can get fined.

I should have indicated this particular cold call was a visual one with a shout of "hello anybody there" (they wouldn't come in because the dog was outside and i have a warning sign on the gate of "dogs running loose" so they did not attempt to enter thr property)
