Good news - we (as in Liphook.co.uk) are currently producing a new look replacement web site for the Parish Council.
On the home page I'd like to include some iconic images of the Parish - my thoughts are ...
St Mary's Church Bramshott
The Canadian war graves
Liphook Carnival
Liphook in Bloom
Lidba Charity Bike Ride
Do you have any other suggestions ?
Alan

The Flora Thompson statue in the library?

I haven't got any suggestions...just wanted to say it's very good news indeed that you're going to make a proper web-site for the PC!!
Could you also give an alternative screen size? It's so HUGE at the moment I can't see it all on my computer :)

The Square. Waggoners Wells.
Re: Parish web site - helen (15th Dec 2011 - 00:49:30)
Waggoners Wells is in different County and comes under Grayshott so should not really be included in Liphook? Weavers Down perhaps instead?
Re: Parish web site - liz (15th Dec 2011 - 09:10:32)
Waggoners Wells is in East Hampshire between Bramshott and Ludshott Commons and is part of Bramshott Parish (as is most of Ludshott Common I believe). Seems we DEFINITELY need to raise its profile!!
This page on the "Liphook Plan" web site shows the full extent of the Parish - www.liphookplan.co.uk/... click on the map to make it larger
Re: Parish web site - Nick (15th Dec 2011 - 17:33:43)
Good news pehaps then the rest of the web site could be brought up to date and discard some of the threads that havent be used for a long time.

I suggest:
The Hollycombe Working Steam Museum
and
Something to link Liphook to the "South Downs National Park"

Hi having looked into waggoners wells. the Parish electoral boundary is Bramshott Chase, the wikipedia entry includes Grayshott and Headley Down, but not Liphook. I agree that it is classed as part of Bramshott and Ludshott Common. The A-Z gazetteer shows Wagonners Wells as a part of Hindhead. The postcode area is GU26 Yes it is EastHants but then so is some of Grayshott. Perhaps we can split it down the middle!

As Waggoners Wells is entirely within the Bramshott Parish boundary, surely it qualifies it to be on the Parish website. It is one of the most beautiful areas in the Parish and we should be proud of it!
I can confirm that a beautiful picture of Waggoners Wells will be appearing on the new web site. Won't be long now.

Looking forward to it - and all the other photos - plus a readable Parish Council website!
