A New Library for Liphook
- pete (8th Dec 2011 - 14:08:31)

Don Jerrard, of the Justice and Anti-Corruprion party has alluded to a proposal for 'a new Library' (for Liphook) at Bohunt Manor.

Perhaps Mr Jerrard would care to explain

What is it with Bohunt Manor? Library, surgeries, cricket pitches, allotments ... they are all nothing more than bribery to enable greedy developers attain their ultimate goal of building hundreds more houses in Liphook! Leave the SDNP alone.

We have a great library already, housed in a beautiful historic building. Its a shame it isnt open more days of the week or perhaps the limited time it is open reflects the amount of use made of it. Hence why would we need a new library?

There is no new library planned, some parish councillors sought confirmation from Hampshire County Council, after an attempt was made to link the idea of " this is what the community needs," to the plans the developers have for Bohunt Manor. Hampshire County Council confirmed there are no plans for relocating the library and they could not afford to build a new one. I hope that explains things.
