Scouts Christmas Post
- Dee (8th Dec 2011 - 11:18:15)
Hi
Just thought I would bring this back to the top of the page. We will be using the scouts again this year for our Christmas post we send our personal and where we are able we send our company cards also.
They do a really good service every year and last year was exceptional because of the weather.
Good luck scouts (and parents that help). Keep up the good work.

Can someone tell us where the Scout boxes are, when are the collections and what is the cost and/or procedure.
Are we buying special "stamps" again - if so, where from?
Perhaps I have missed the information somewhere?
Thanks

Thank you Dee! We are hoping that it doesn't snow so much this year... last year it was quite a challenge to deliver to Bramshott and the other outlying areas (but we did it!)
Jenny: the link the Editor has posted gives more information, but just so it is here too...
There is a box in Sainsburys, Co-op, Gables, Route 6, Countrywide, Hiscocks, The Deers Hut and Passfield Store until Saturday 17th.
We deliver to Liphook, Bramshott, Passfield and Conford (but not New Zealand, as someone hoped last year)
Simply drop your cards with payment (cost is 20p a card) into the boxes and we'll stamp the cards for you... although if you'd like to stamp them yourself you can buy stamps in advance from Gables, who are once again kindly supporting us.
Thanks to everyone who is using the service - we're trying to set a new record this year!

Thanks, stamps now purchased from Gables and all posted.
It is especially good value as some of my cards are quite chunky and I found they crept into the "large" letter category when I weighed them at the post office!! Makes conventional postage hefty!

Thank you to everyone who used the post. We are now in the process of delivering over 3,000 cards to over 100 different roads. It will take a day or two, but you should get your cards in the next couple of days.
We have used our detective work on a number of envelopes to locate the right house to deliver to (interesting handwriting, missing and wrong house numbers, no road name, and more), but the following three have defeated us. Copied out here, just in case anyone recognises them. There was no road name supplied.
"Mrs C Jones" (or maybe "Mrs G/E Jones")
"Jenny and Steve"
"Mr & Mrs E Rhoades"
